Sarein to host winter festival with enhanced tourism infrastructure
TEHRAN - Sarein, a popular tourist destination in Ardabil province, is set to host a winter festival this year.
The festival is aimed to attract more tourists and create an atmosphere of public enthusiasm, according to the city’s governor, Baqer Baqerzadeh.
The official on Tuesday said that Sarein’s Alvares and Ojur ski resorts have been specially upgraded to provide high-quality services for visitors. “The precise dates of the festival will be announced through media outlets,” Baqerzadeh added.
Highlighting recent developments, he noted that the inauguration of a three-level suspension bridge has significantly boosted the region’s tourism potential, positioning Sarein as a leading destination for travelers nationwide.
Over the past three years, Sarein has seen substantial improvements in its tourism infrastructure. Several new hotels and suspension bridges have been established, ensuring better services for visitors. Additionally, the creation of a “tourism chain” in Sarein’s villages aims to generate income for rural residents and promote the local economy.
